Lapid Leaders Africa Open Day

To most people, the road to life is one straight path; go to school, get a degree and aim for the ultimate prize of a job.

However, one Esther Mwaniki, has sought to change the status quo by introducing a totally different path.

Through her Leadership and Entrepreneurship programme, Lapid Leaders Africa, Ms Mwaniki is impacting lives - 500 youth and counting.

With the help of various coaches, the former employee of Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) runs a 3-month training programme that equips the trainees not only with leadership competence but also entrepeneurial skills that have seen many small and medium-sized enterprises soar to great heights.

From helping them discover their purpose and passion to having sessions on critical thinking, the trainees get a chance to also get mentored by various renowed African leaders.

Some of the mentors in the programme include former Principal Secretary Bitange Ndemo, Founder of Koola Waters Ruth Mwanzia, Founder of Ibua Africa Mumbi Ndung'u, CEO of Kenyans.co.ke Robert Ndungu and Money Wise founder Rina Ricks.

With the 7th Cohort having graduated early this month, an opportunity is presented for all youth to enroll to this life-changing programme.

This Saturday, Ms Mwaniki will hold an open day at St Paul's Catholic Church along University Way from  9am to 1pm with reknowned life coach and Pastor Robert Burale as well as former news anchor Johnson Mwakazi.

Being a few days into 2018, it is important for us to trudge forward with a sense of purpose and direction. Do you have an authentic voice? Are you in charge of your destiny?

These are all interesting questions and Ms Mwaniki's sole purpose is to help you answer them.
