Dismissing the county official's accusations, Mr Ochar asserted that he had not attended any such meeting and had since reported the threat to Kombewa Police Station in Seme Sub-County.
Kisumu County Police Commander John Kamau conveyed that the matter had been forwarded to the criminal investigations department and would be pursued by the detectives.
"He indeed made the report at Kombewa Police Station and investigations will kick off immediately," the county commander confirmed.
When contacted, the Chief of Staff is said to have laughed off the allegations promising to give a detailed statement at a later date.
Mr Ouya is reported to be a registered firearm holder. In 2015, he allegedly shot in the air during a funeral in Koru area after a disagreement with other officials.
