On Thursday, Twitter became a battlefield as opponents of Prime Minister Raila Odinga's swearing-in shared messages rejecting the National Super Alliance (NASA) plan.

Using the hashtag #RailaSwearingIn, a section of netizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the event which is set to take place on January 30.

However, Odinga's supporters were not left behind as they quickly shut down those who attacked Odinga with savage comebacks that lit up the conversations.

Here are some of the jabs that were thrown around.

NASA strategist, David Ndii, clarified in a statement that the Opposition was committed to ensuring that Mr Odinga and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka are sworn in on January 30.

Kalonzo

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was a trending topic on Thursday as social media users discussed a headline on one of the local dailies stating: "No Swearing-in for Me: Kalonzo now Says."

Some of the commentators seemed to laud the alleged fall-out in NASA calling Mr Musyoka wise.
