Worry About This Instead of Kenyan Affairs - Kalonzo Advises Godec

Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM-K) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has advised US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec to keep off Kenyan affairs and instead deal with the government shutdown in America.

Speaking at a People's Assembly meeting in Mombasa on Sunday, Kalonzo told Godec that many Americans did not have faith in their Government and advised him to do something about it.

“The American ambassador should first bring together their Government which is facing a shutdown.

"The Americans are demonstrating each day because of lack of faith in it. People worldwide are crying for freedom, truth, justice and mutual communication,” Musyoka stated.

Godec has been at the forefront of a push for a national dialogue to be led by religious and business leaders.

NASA supporters have accused him of working to derail a plan to have former Prime Minister Raila Odinga sworn in as the People's President on January 30th.

Jubilee  Party leaders, including Moses Kuria, have also called for diplomats led by Godec to stop meddling in Kenyan affairs.

NASA leaders who spoke at the People's Assembly meeting maintained that Odinga would be sworn in on January 30.

Odinga reiterated his claim that data from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers confirmed that he had won the August 8 Presidential election.

“Attorney General Githu Muigai said that the swearing in is treason, others said I will be killed, hanged for life or get life imprisonment. But I want them to know our people have been killed by the government and another life lost is nothing. I am ready to be sworn in whether they like it or not,” Odinga stated.
