Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Friday endorsed Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho for President in 2022, meaning he would have face off against Deputy President William Ruto in the race to Statehouse.
The controversial first- time legislator posted a photo with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Governor captioning it: "With H.E Sultan Mr.President 2022. Disloyalty to Joho is loyalty to Satan."
His post elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans with some noting that they owed the presidency ticket to NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka.

One user wrote: "We Love Joho but we owe Kalonzo our votes come 2022. The guy has never betrayed Raila why should we not pay back."
"Nimekwama hapo kwa President 2022. I thought mnapea "baba" kumi fresh. (I'm stuck at president 2022, I thought you were giving Raila 10 years) what happened??.. you already lost hope him in him!!" another noticed.
Others echoed Babu Owino's sentiments,"Your both good. I echo what Babu has said disloyalty to Joho is loyalty to satan."
"Joho to win 2022, Ruto must be stopped by any means possible," one user conveyed.
Earlier in December, Governor Joho had declared his intention to run for President in 2022 after completing his second term as the County boss.
He also issued a timeline for the secession of the Coast province from the rest of Kenya.
Furthermore, Joho has been protective of Babu Owino especially when he (Babu) was arrested last year.

Governor Joho expressed concern over how the first time legislator was handled during a past dramatic arrest, questioning the conduct of the arresting officers.
"I would wish to remind security officers that we will hold each one of you individually culpable in the event of any harm to the member of parliament," the ODM Deputy Party leader warned the Government.
