All NASA Supporters Ordered to Report to Police Station

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chairman John Mbadi has asked all National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters to report to Central Police Station on Tuesday next week.

At a rally in Baba Dogo, Ruaraka on Sunday afternoon, Mbadi stated that with the Government cracking down on the opposition, all NASA supporters who attended the swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the People's President at Uhuru Park would file statements.

"If the police cannot obey the law then the people must take action. If they cannot follow the law, we will remove the head of the police," Mbadi stated.

He reiterated that the next move was the formation of Raila's cabinet, promising he would take the list to Parliament for vetting.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino asked Raila to put him in charge of the Ministry of Interior when he forms his cabinet.

Babu stated that his first order of business would be to arrest Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i who has led the recent crackdown on the oposition.

"Wakikamata, tunakamata (If they arrest we arrest)

"Naomba Raila anipee Ministry ya Interior. Mtu wa kwanza tutakamata ni Matiang'i (I'm asking Raila to hand me the Interior docket. The first person we will arrest is Matiang'i," Babu stated.

Siaya Senator James Orengo maintained that they recognized Raila Odinga as President and divulged that Raila would give the way forward for the coalition next week.

Other leaders who spoke at the event included Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris, Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang and Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
