Babu Owino Announces Those to be Ejected From his Constituency

Embakasi East lawmaker, Babu Owino, on Thursday announced those members of his constituency whom he would be expelling.

Posting on his Facebook page, the outspoken National Super Alliance (NASA) leader noted that he will be taking the youth who are not in school to get vocational training with the help of the CDF money.

"They will be trained to be salonists, plumbers, electricians, barbers, drivers, carpenters and masons," read part of the post seen by Kenyans.co.ke.

However, the legislator declared that anyone who will refuse to get trained, yet unemployed, would be punished by being thrown out of his constituency.

"Refusal to get trained or schooling yet not employed will attract a severe punishment of being expelled from Embakasi East constituency. God bless Embakasi east constituency," he asserted.

Babu also stated that he will be issuing bursaries from next week and he called upon parents who can't afford school fees to visit his office to receive the forms.

"Bursaries will be issued to all needy children irrespective of their tribal affiliations, skin color, size of their bodies and size of their brains," he declared.

The former Students' Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) chairman emphasized the importance of education and according to him, "if you open the gate of a school you will close the gate of a prison."
