Kisumu Senator Fred Outa Chased Away From Governor Anyang' Nyongo's Event

Kisumu Senator Fred Outa and Kisumu Central Member of Parliament (MP), Fred Ouda, were on Friday chased out of a thanksgiving ceremony organised for Governor Anyang' Nyong'o.

Residents of the county resulted in kicking the two out of the event claiming that they were colluding to dethrone the Governor.

The Senator and MP had attended prayers at the ACK St Stephens Cathedral Church in Milimani and were scheduled to accompany Governor Nyong'o to a political rally at the Home Kenyatta Grounds.

Governor Nyong'o jetted back into the country on Friday morning after a two-month trip to the United States for medical attention.

The Governor underwent hip surgery and recovered while in the US. He addressed a crowd moments after he landed at the Kisumu International Airport.

"I thank my deputy Dr Mathews Owili, the county executives and the entire NASA fraternity for their steadfast support for the period that I was out of the country," the Governor stated.

He emphasized that he was strong and in good health and was ready to continue serving the people of Kisumu.

Governor Nyong'o added that he is committed to the Opposition under the leadership of the 'people's president' Raila Odinga.

The Governor suffered the hip injury in an accident on Kiambu Road back in 2016 while he was on his way to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)

He sought specialised treatment in the US on advice from his orthopaedic doctor at the Aga Khan Hospital.
