Mohammed Ali's Daring Message to Hassan Joho

Nyali MP Mohammed Ali's parliamentary election was upheld by a Mombasa court on Friday and the legislator wasted no time in bashing Governor Hassan Joho.

Moments after leaving the courtroom, Ali stated that Joho has been hindering progress in Mombasa and was operating the coastal town like his own personal property.

"You have been trying to fight me and to finish my political career but God has not let that happen.

"Joho is going around claiming he wants to be the next President of Kenya but he will not succeed in doing so," stated the former KTN investigative journalist.

He further noted that he cannot be intimidated by the Governor and will focus on delivering the promises he made to his constituents.

High Court judge Lydia Achode dismissed the petition contesting Ali's win for lack of evidence.

The petitioner, Daniel Omondi, was ordered to pay Sh7 Million in costs.

Earlier this year, the lawmaker alleged that Joho and "his brother" hired goons to disconnect power and unleash chaos at a  Frere Town tallying centre during the August 8 polls.

The MP admitted that during the polling period, he had a gun that was licensed last January but denied using it to harass voters or opponents on the polling day.

He also disclosed that the State deployed six security men to protect him during and after the polls.

Ali opted to vie as an independent candidate after shambolic ODM primaries in which he alleges his victory was stolen.
