Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's Facebook page has hit a million followers in the last 24 hours.
The changes have made Joho become the fifth politician in Kenya to hit one million likes on his official Facebook page.
As at 10 am on Tuesday morning, Joho's page had 1,003,170 followers coming in fifth after Deputy President William Ruto whose Facebook page has 1,067,241 followers.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is leading the list of Kenyan politicians with more than a million followers on Facebook with his account having 3,472,794 likes.

The President takes to social media to update his followers on projects his government is undertaking and also posts pictures of people who visit him.
In 2017 President Kenyatta went live on Facebook to engage with his followers as he was seeking to be reelected to office for a second term.
At number two is Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko who has 1,350,209 followers on his Facebook page. Governor Sonko engages frequently with his followers and even responds personally to their questions.
NASA leader Raila Odinga comes in third with 1,199,291 followers. The opposition leader often takes to the social media platform to engage his followers.
Raila, through his team, also goes live during NASA rallies and press briefings, using his Facebook account which can reach millions.

These politicians are, however, not the only Kenyans with accounts that have more than one million Kenyans.
Leading the pack of Kenyans with more than a million followers on Facebook is Award Winning actress Lupita Nyong'o with 2,969,806 followers, followed by comedian Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill with 2,590,493.
Comedian teacher Wanjiku follows with 1,197,852 followers and media personality Caroline Mutoko with 1,067,909 followers.
Journalist Larry Madowo is also on the list with 1,056,972 followers and finally, music boy band Sauti Sol follows with 1,046,218 likes.
