Siaya Senator James Orengo Loses Uncle

Siaya Senator James Orengo has lost his uncle, Reverend David Odhiambo Orengo.

In a tribute, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) noted that Rev Orengo had raised the renowned politician and lawyer after the death of his father.

Senator Orengo's father had been a policeman.

Rev Orengo passed away after an unspecified long illness.

He was a clergyman at the Apostolic Evangelical Christian Church.

The funeral service and burial will be held in Ugenya, Siaya County, on  Saturday, March 3.

ODM urged its supporters to offer any support they could to the family as they planned the funeral.

"To the Hon. Sen. @orengo_james, SC; and family, ODM fraternity will be with you during this time of great loss and mourning. May the soul of Mzee Rev. David Odhiambo Orengo find eternal, peaceful rest," a tweet from ODM read.

A few weeks ago, ODM Communications Director Philip Etale announced that he had lost his father.

"At exactly 6:15 pm, son of the soil, my mentor, my source of inspiration, my friend, and my father went to be with the LORD. I am gutted.

"GOD the Creator, GOD the taker. You have made your decision. We can't change it. RIP my Beloved Dad. I will personally miss you," he posted.
