The father of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Phillip Etale has died.
Etale, in a Twitter post, confirmed that his dad died on Sunday evening after a long battle with illness.
"At exactly 6:15 pm, son of the soil, my mentor, my source of inspiration, my friend, and my father went to be with the LORD. I am gutted.
"GOD the Creator, GOD the taker. You have made your decision. We can't change it. RIP my Beloved Dad. I will personally miss you," Etale posted.

Prior to his death, Etale's father had been ailing in hospital. On Saturday, the ODM Director of communications asked his fans to pray for his dad's recovery.
"Dear friends, Prayers move mountains. Keep my beloved dad in your prayer. He has just been re-admitted to hospital, not in good state. I am optimistic. To God be the Glory," he posted.
Following the announcement, Kenyans posted condolences messages to Etale's page asking God to be with the family at this time.
Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale posted: "Mwana weruu, ooh, pole sana!"
Senior Director of Digital Innovations and Diaspora Communications Dennis Itumbi stated:"Ndugu Etale Philip pole sana on the loss of your Father. Be comforted together with your family and friends. May God stretch his mighty arm over you all. You are in my prayers."
