Miguna Miguna Explains Source of His Tough and Rowdy Character

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has linked his character traits to his mother’s upbringing claiming that she is a tough personality who was known to be a "sharpshooter".

The self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) General made the statement when he was starting off his global tour in the US.

He has embarked on the tour to popularize the NRM movement which is now recognized as an affiliate of NASA.

He divulged that his traits were solely attributed to his mother since his father passed on before he was born.

"You could not come around with nonsense and get away with. I am Miguna because I have never seen my father who died when my mother was pregnant. Having been raised among seven sisters, my mother had to sharpen me to tackle real-life matters," he narrated.

Citing the recent run-ins with the government as proof of his resilient character, Miguna noted that this was not the first time that he had been persecuted by the police.

He recollected his experience in 1987 when he was abducted after he protested former Vice President Jaramogi Odinga’s denial by then President Moi to vie for a political seat on any party.

Miguna was recently under the mercies of the country’s police forces when he was arrested for administering an illegal oath and being a member of NRM which was not recognized as a legal political organization.

Regarding his recent arrest, he recollected how the police stormed into his home and he knew that they would kill him or dump him somewhere desolate.

He heroically recounted his response to the attack stating that he dashed to pick his passport with the intention of dropping it somewhere along the way so that someone would trace him.
