Boni Khalwale Responds After Twitter User Refers to Him as Watchman During the NASA Summit

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was on Wednesday evening forced to defend himself online after a Kenyan compared his presence at the NASA summit that occurred earlier in the week to that of a watchman.

The NASA politician had posted photos from the summit which he captioned: "I'm pleased that after daylong deliberations at Athi River, NASA has resolved that the personalized dialogue between Uhuru/Raila be shelved to pave way for structured dialogue between NASA/Jubilee after processing via the NASA constituent parties."

Khalwale was not easily identifiable in the pictures to which a user noticed.

"So you again travelled all the way to Summit meetings to peep through the window with waiters and watchmen?" the user observed.

Agreeing with the comment another added: "To get something to take to the TV shows."

During the summit attended by Principals Raila OdingaKalonzo MusyokaMoses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, the leaders stated that Raila had informed them of what he had discussed with President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday.

Addressing journalists at Athi River, Mudavadi stated that  Odinga had briefed them and maintained that they encouraged constructive and structured dialogue to address the causes of national problems.

"We have listened to Raila and he has explained everything he discussed with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"He has answered everything. However, we are still open to dialogue and we will still hold consultations on these weighty issues," Mudavadi stated.
