Kipchumba Murkomen Explains How Uhuru Should Deal With NASA Upon His Return

Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen on Friday urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to meet other National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals upon his return from Cuba. 

"I am asking President Kenyatta to invite Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula the same way he invited and held talks with Nasa leader Raila Odinga," exclaimed Murkomen.

Murkomen, further, claimed that Uhuru's meeting with the trio will enable the leaders to speak in one voice.

The Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator stated that Kenya is one country, therefore the president ought to meet leaders across the political divide with an aim of uniting them.

Speaking at St Patrik's National School during thanksgiving ceremony, Senator Murkomen disclosed that the Head of State will accommodate the needs of the Opposition leader.

"President Kenyatta is ready and willing to cater for the needs of Mr Odinga now that the Nasa leader has accepted to work with the government for the development of this country,” the school's alumni affirmed.

On Wednesday, Kalonzo mentioned that together with his two other co-principals, they were seeking an audience with the President

Speaking in Machakos after a closed-door meeting with Kamba elders, Kalonzo noted that he, alongside Mudavadi and Wetangula, had planned to meet Uhuru on Thursday but unfortunately he traveled to Cuba.

"We are in support of any meeting or negotiations aimed at developing the country and bringing together all tribes.

"This is why we maintain we must have an opportunity to meet with my brother Uhuru when he comes back," Kalonzo highlighted.
