Exclusive: Ford-Kenya Confirms Merger with Amani National Congress

Ford Kenya has confirmed that it will be merging with Amani National Congress (ANC).

Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke Dr Boni Khalwale stated that the secretariat of both parties was working towards the merger.

Dr Khalwale stated: "Yes the merger is going to happen since the secretariat is working on that."

The former Kakamega Senator added: "It's not going to happen in a day, it's a process but it will definitely come to fruition."

This merger comes after two principals Moses Wetangula (Ford-K) and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) launched an attack against Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of using and dumping their community.

The two had told the Luhya community to unite and lock Odinga’s party out of the western region in 2022.

“It is time for the Luhya to unite. We need the unity now more than ever. We have in the past taken different political positions making other people use and dump us,” Mudavadi stated.

The ANC leader maintained that NASA's plan had not ended laughing off the meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila.

He pleaded with the Mulembe community to rally behind them and support their quest to lead the opposition alliance.

Adding his voice on the issue Wetang’ula maintained he and Mudavadi had returned to their backyard with a call for a united community after ODM stripped him of leadership in the Senate.
