Police Chase Orengo and Otiende Amollo From JKIA Terminal 2

Siaya Senator James Orengo and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo were on Tuesday afternoon chased away from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) as they sought to see NRM self-declared general Miguna Miguna.

This came just hours after armed officers cordoned off the area where Miguna was detained and barred journalists from covering the saga.

"The Plot Thickens Further...Sen. Orengo, Adv.Waikwa & Myself have been thrown out of the Waiting Area of Terminal 2.

"Dr Miguna is now held Incommunicado," revealed Amollo on his Twitter handle.

He further blasted Immigration for forcing Miguna to sign citizenship forms: "Naive of Immigration to think they would coerce Miguna to sign forms w/o Presence Of Advocates."

Earlier, the legislator had also warned that legal action would be taken on some of the immigration officers who frustrated Miguna's return.

"When the dust settles, Several Police Officers; Immigration Officials; & Internal Security Dept. Officials... at the very highest levels, will have to answer personally & Individually," noted the Rarieda MP on Twitter.

Miguna's lawyer Cliff Ombeta insisted that his client would not fill the citizenship forms issued by the Immigration Department because it would mean "Miguna will be agreeing that the government was right about his citizenship."

He called on the government to respect High Court order that allowed Dr Miguna back into Kenya after his illegal deportation to Canada.

"He should be allowed to enter Kenya on the strength of the court order," Mr Ombeta told journalists at JKIA.
