Raila Odinga Meets with Nairobi Business Community [PHOTOS]

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday met the Nairobi Business Community at his Capitol Hill offices in Upper Hill.

The group paid a courtesy call to the opposition leader in a move aimed a quelling the conflict between the opposing factions.

In the run-up to and after 2017 elections, the Nairobi Business Community surfaced to counter opposition demonstrations.

Raila's communication team released a statement disclosing the group paid tribute to Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta for agreeing to work together and pledged full support for the initiative

"They appealed to members from the other side of the political divide with whom they clashed to equally lay down arms calling on both parties to work together for the peace deal,"  the statement read in part.

Earlier in the week, Raila met with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria

The outspoken lawmaker spoke to Kenyans.co.ke after the meeting disclosing that they had discussed what they needed to do for the country to be united.

"It's time to unite this country. We met to discuss how we can best bring Kenyans together," Kuria stated.

He further revealed that their talks had nothing to do with Jubilee Party or NASA politics.

"I want you to know this is in no way about Jubilee and NASA, we want to have all Kenyans on board including those who don't have a party," he affirmed.
