Moses Kuria Reveals Details of His Meeting With Raila Odinga

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Monday met National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill office in Upperhill, Nairobi.

The outspoken lawmaker spoke to Kenyans.co.ke after the meeting disclosing that they had discussed what they needed to do for the country to be united.

"It's time to unite this country. We met to discuss how we can best bring Kenyans together," Kuria stated.

He further revealed that their talks had nothing to do with Jubilee Party or NASA politics.

"I want you to know this is in no way about Jubilee and NASA, we want to have all Kenyans on board including those who don't have a party," he affirmed.

Kuria further noted that on Sunday, he would be in the city of Kisumu, a bastion of the opposition.

The lawmaker refused to comment on reports that Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta were planning a tour of the lakeside city.

Kuria has for a long time been a staunch critic of Odinga but has backed President Kenyatta's engagement with Raila on how to unify the country and resolve long-standing issues.

Uhuru and Raila appeared together in public for the first time on Sunday since the March 9 meeting at Harambee House.

The leaders were at Muthaiga Golf Club to watch this year's edition of the Barclays Open.

"It was nice watching the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open but I think I'll stick to watching the Mighty Gor Mahia," Raila later tweeted.
