ODM Goes After Chris Wamalwa's Seat as Minority Chief Whip

A section of ODM Party legislators have hatched a plan to oust Kiminini Member of Parliament Chris Wamalwa of Ford Kenya from his position.

Wamalwa is the National Assembly’s deputy minority whip on a Ford Kenya ticket.

Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo assured journalists that the move will happen sooner rather than later.

Odhiambo stated: “I am going to petition that seat of Chris Wamalwa in the National Assembly it is ours.”

The Gem MP also warned they would not take the attacks directed toward them lying down.

He hit back at ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi over his remarks, that Raila Odinga was no longer the NASA leader.

Out of the four leadership slots in the National Assembly ODM bagged two while Ford Kenya and Wiper party got one slot each.

The plot against Wamalwa comes as NASA affiliate parties engage in a war of words following the unity pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Wiper party, ANC and Ford Kenya principals accused the former Prime Minister of failing to consult them before he sat down with the President.

The move to kick out Wamalwa comes barely two weeks after the unceremonial removal of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula as the Senate minority leader
