New Report Reveals Top 10 Companies to Work for in Kenya

A Kenyan jobs and career resources site has released a new report on the top 100 companies to work for in Kenya following research based on votes from current and former employees.

Factors used to determine the final rankings were competitive pay package, pride, diversity and inclusion, career growth and culture.

Telecommunications behemoth Safaricom emerged as the best company to work for in 2018, closely followed by the United Nations (UN), Kengen and Google with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) closing the top 5.

Centum, Kenya Power, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Unilever and Coca Cola occupied positions six to ten respectively.

The report by Brighter Monday further broke down the best organizations to work for in various industries.

In technology; Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Andela and IBM are considered the top destinations for employees.

Unilever topped the list for manufacturing, followed by Coca Cola, British American Tobacco (BAT) and Bidco.

For fast-moving consumer goods (FCMG) companies; Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) came first followed by Tata Chemicals and Heineken.

The report also disclosed that men occupy more senior positions while more women were in entry-level and mid-level jobs.

The top 3 traits valued by employees in a company were found to be good pay, job security and proximity to home.
