KTN Takes on NTV on Twitter Over Malema Challenge

Standard Media Group-owned KTN News on Monday, through its official Twitter account, took jabs at Nation Media Group's NTV after the #JuliusMalemaChallenge went viral.

KTN News took the first jab stating that some of its followers had been seeing its tweets but they never bothered to retweet or leave any comment.

This did not sit well with NTV social media team who replied by throwing a jab and reminding them they did not acknowledge NTV's 1.84 million followers on Twitter.

This didn't go well with KTN Home which took NTV's took as an attack on KTN News.

"They are here mama, those who are fighting our last born KTN News Come and see ooh," the tweet from KTN Kenya read.

The TV station also tagged other stations and online websites owned by the Standard Group to help in the Twitter beef.

Without backing down, KTN News assured NTV they will not concede defeat adding it will be messy and noisy.

Standard Digital online platform SDE also joined to help KTN News stating: "They are here mama, their plans have failed ooooh!!! We need no sign mama."

The #JuliusMalemaChallenge was abuzz on social media following the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader's speech at Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's funeral at Orlando stadium in Soweto, South Africa.

Malema noted that those who betrayed Winnie Mandela while she was alive were at her funeral and asked for her to send a signal on what should be done to deal with the critics now that she's gone.
