Police have issued a stern warning to all parents after it emerged that three Kenyan youth had fled to neighboring Somali to join Al Shabaab.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the National Police Service (NPS) warned parents, guardians and religious leaders against withholding information on radicalization.

Besides, the police warned that parents were risking losing their children to radicalization into terror groups with such children potentially becoming destructive to the society.

The three terrorists were identified as Mohamed Abdalla Asman from Majengo Nairobi, Hamisi Hemed and Ali Ahmed Ali from Malindi.

Police reports indicate that they are already undergoing training in Somali with the aim of sneaking back into the country and staging terror attacks.

"It is deeply regrettable that there are still some families and Kenyan businessmen abetting radicalization, recruitment, and facilitation of their kin to join terror groups.

"We, however, wish to thank members of the public who have continued to corporate with the security agencies by sharing information," the police statement read in part.

The police further urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.

Police further circulated images of two of the suspects indicating that Asman is a former convict who was released from Garissa GK Prison after serving his term.
