Troubled Nairobi lawyer Miguna Miguna was deported to Canada on grounds of renouncing his Kenyan citizenship and it has now emerged that police want to question his lawyers over his alleged missing passport.
According to the Standard, officers at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation headquarters have summoned lawyers Nelson Havi, Cliff Ombeta and Kamanda Mucheke in regard to an affidavit filed in court that Miguna’s Canadian passport was missing.
This is because the lawyer is reported to have used the 'lost' transport to travel to Toronto.
Havi, however, stated that the lawyers will not discuss the matter as it is still in court.

“We have told them we will not discuss an issue in court. Let them come to court and argue there,” he remarked.
This comes just a few days after reports emerged that some of Miguna's lawyers were receiving bribes from the Jubilee regime.
Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, Havi who has been representing the self-proclaimed NRM general in his deportation case dismissed claims that he had been bribed by the ruling party.
"I have not been approached by anyone from Jubilee and I categorically state that I have not received any bribe," he affirmed.
Last week, Miguna took to his social media alleging that HomaBay Town MP Peter Kaluma was being used by Jubilee to bribe his advocates.
"I have been informed that a man calling himself Opondo Kaluma has been pretending be one of my advocates while dancing on imaginary graves he has constructed for me.
"I have never met Kaluma and he has never been my advocate," he divulged.
