National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-declared general Miguna Miguna on Thursday condemned the state for using its resources to allegedly protect the image of Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri.
Posting on his social media platforms, Miguna noted that instead of the state protecting innocent people who are being victimised by police, they opt to guard those who are "perverts."
Captioning a story on the Kirinyaga boss, Miguna exclaimed: "The despots destroyed my home, abducted and detained me incommunicado but they cannot even charge and try me in court. Instead, they have tortured and removed me from the jurisdiction of the court. They spend our resources protecting perverts."

This statement comes after the police arrested a prison warder, linked to the video where Kirinyaga Deputy Governor was filmed in a compromising situation with an unidentified woman.
The police arrested the suspect at Mwea on extortion claims.
The officer was arrested at a police station where he had gone to report an accident that had happened on Wednesday night.
Kirinyaga County Commissioner Mohamed Birik said the suspect has been transferred to Thika Police Station for interrogation.
"A suspect has been arrested in Mwea over the said nude video. He has been handed over to the investigating team," Mr Birik stated.
The deputy governor is claimed to have positively identified the suspect who was apprehended.
According to police boss, the suspect is among seven others who are being pursued over the incident that is alleged to have occurred at Githingiri estate in Thika.
