Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja on Friday took a swipe at Baringo Senator Gideon Moi over what he termed as embarrassing Deputy President William Ruto.
DP Ruto and his entourage had gone to visit retired President Daniel Moi at his Kabarak Home but was turned away without meeting his host.
Leaders affiliated to the Ruto have placed the blame of the failed visit on Gideon whom Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen had previously accused of denying the DP an appointment with Mzee Moi.

Adding his voice to the debate, Sakaja took issue with Gideon over what he termed as discrimination in slotting vacancies on who meets his father.
"Namwambia Gideon ya kwamba baraka ya Mzee sio kitu inapeanwa ovyo ovyo kama mandazi (I want to caution Gideon that his father's blessings are not a thing to be dished out like mandazi.)"
"Eti pea huyu na sio huyu... eti fungulia huyu wala sio yule (It is not you to decide who receives the blessings or who should have an appointment or not.)"
"Sisi tumesikia uchungu sana kwa sababu ya ile aibu DP wetu alifanyiwa (The humiliation that Ruto underwent has caused us great pain.)"
Encouraging the DP not to despair, Sakaja remarked "You went there with a clean heart and humility, to wish Mzee Moi quick recovery, but they denied you access.
"Do not worry yourself about that. Rather come here to the people who will freely give you their blessings."
Speaking at the Railway Training Institute in South B, Sakaja further encouraged Nairobians to sign up for the NHIF.
