Kalonzo Musyoka's Surprises for Governor Alfred Mutua

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana revealed that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka had agreed to remove any political roadblocks erected against the Machakos governor.

Kibwana was speaking during a fundraiser in Makueni county which was attended by his Machakos counterpart Alfred Mutua where he announced that they have buried their hatchet after years of Ukambani supremacy battle.

“We have reached a consensus with Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka to remove any political roadblocks erected in the region against the Machakos governor,” Kibwana stated.

Kibwana has been at loggerheads with Mutua, terming him as a Jubilee mole and severally accused him of selling the government's agenda in the Wiper's backyard through his Maendeleo Chap Chap movement.

The handshake between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga has extended to the two, with Kibwana assuring Mutua that no more grudges between them.

The differences between Mutua and Kibwana played out during the burial of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko’s father at Mua Hills in Machakos County, when the Makueni governor lamented to President Kenyatta about Mutua’s political forays into his turf without as much as notifying him.

Kibwana had warned Mutua not to sneak into Makueni and confuse his people, explaining that he only learnt of Mutua’s recent visit to his county through radio stations.

Ther Makueni governor maintained that Mutua's actions were the height of mockery further describing him as a hen that leaves its eggs after sitting on them for days only to return later to find them rotten or snatched by a mongoose.

The truce between the two governors comes days after President Kenyatta in his address at Parliament buildings called for national unity to move the country forward.

“Never again should a Kenyan life be lost for politics sake. Never again should a Kenyan lose property because of politics," he told a joint sitting of Senate and MPs.
