Information has emerged on why the reigning Miss World titleholder, Manushi Chhillar from India cancelled her trip to Kenya.
A statement from the Miss World Kenya office cited 'sudden and unforseen circumstances' as the reason behind the trip's cancellation.
The 5-day tour was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 8 but has now been pushed forward to an unconfirmed date.
"The visit, slated for the 8th to 13th of May 2018, has subsequently been pushed forward to a yet to be disclosed date in July (2018)," the statement read in part.
A representative of the office explained that Manushi's handlers left them hanging on Tuesday as they waited for an explanation on why she could not make it.

They had organized a grand dinner to welcome her at a top city hotel on May 10th.
Tickets for the dinner were going for between Sh50,000 and Sh100,000 for groups.
The office assured people who already bought their tickets that they would get a refund, but they would also be given an option to use them at the July event.
Chhillar was supposed to tour Kenya alongside Julia Morley, the Miss World Chair and founder of Beauty With Purpose.
The reigning Miss World was crowned in November 2017 while Miss Wold Kenya Magline Jeruto came fourth.
