Musalia Mudavadi Exchanges Words With Sports CS Richard Achesa

Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi on Sunday exchanged words with Sports CS Rashid Echesa during a ceremony in Western Kenya over the 2022 presidency.

Speaking at Lubinu-Lusheya ward in Mumias East constituency, Achesa asked the Luhya community to forget the presidency and support the Jubilee administration since they do not have a candidate who can raise Sh200 billion for the presidential campaigns.

"If Musalia wants to become president he should call all the stakeholders in the Western show his Sh200 Billion for presidential campaigns and also show his network in Kenya. This matter of lying to each here regionally has to stop," he fired at the opposition leader.

The Sports CS further faulted the Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Mudavadi for not doing enough to revive Mumias Sugar company.

"I am new in politics and I have been trying to revive Mumias but there are leaders who have been here for years and are doing nothing. I told the president, the company is in bad shape," he added

In a quick rejoinder, Mudavadi told Achesa told not to peg the presidency on how much money a candidate had.

"One would be very foolish to spend such an amount on the presidential campaign. How will they recover the money unless they plan to engage in corrupt deals once in power?" he posed.

He added that he had supported other leaders including President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga and Mzee Moi to get the presidency and now it was his turn to seek support for his ambitions.
