NASA Leader Raila Odinga Reveals What Will Happen to NYS Suspects

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Saturday declared that a task force will be established to investigate suspects in the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader asserted that just like him, President Kenyatta is committed to ending graft in Kenya.

Speaking in Busia during the Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya's mother-in-law burial, Odinga exclaimed: "What has remained is to perform what we agreed. I'm sure that the handshake will work and Kenyans should be prepared for a positive outcome."

He acknowledged that corruption is ailing the country and part of their pact after the handshake was on how to eradicate it.

The Opposition leader also dismissed claims that he has been silent on the recent scandals, affirming that he will always stand firm against corruption.

He further called on Kenyans to be patient with the government as they look into ways of bringing to book those involved in the scandals.

"Let us be patient and live together as Kenyans regardless of our political affiliations," Raila mentioned.

Additionally, Siaya Senator James Orengo, who was also at the event, noted that there is a criminal gang, "especially at the Treasury", that Raila foresaw and had spoken about in the past.

While supporting the handshake, Orengo reiterated: "It is only Raila who can bring reforms and democracy in this nation, let us continue building bridges.

"If Uhuru cannot bring to book the corrupt culprits, he should leave it to the People's President (Raila) as he is also equal to the task since he took an oath, " Orengo highlighted.
