3 Arrested With Elephant Tusks and Leopard Skins

Three people were arrested on suspicion of poaching in Marereni, Kilifi County after they were found in possession of eight elephant tusks and leopard skins.

Area police boss John Kilokwe confirmed the incident to Citizen Tv, saying the three were arrested after a tip off from members of the public.

The three are currently being held at Marereni police station as police conduct further investigations.

Barely a week ago, customs officials in Eastern Thailand seized 3 tonnes of ivory believed to have been  shipped out of Kenya in March.
