3 Teachers Accused Of Fracturing Student's Arm

A form four student from Kinangop, Nyandarua has accused three of her teachers of assault that left her with a fractured arm and severe injuries.

The student at Bongo Girls Secondary School says the teachers assaulted her using pipes, accusing her of being among the students who had planned a school strike.

The girl says she came to school from home after being sent for school fees, only to be accused of being one of the masterminds of the failed school strike.

According to the girl's mother, she arrived to pick her daughter from school after the school administration told her she had been suspended.

She says she found her daughter in a sorry state and on questioning her she said she claimed to have been assaulted by three teachers who took turns beating her for her alleged involvement in the strike.

The girl was taken to hospital where she was advised to wear a cast for at least six weeks.

The school's watchman confirmed that several girls were suspended for trying to burn a dormitory but insisted that no one was beaten as punishment.

Nyandarua OCPD confirmed that the case is under investigations and the teachers will face legal actions should they be found guilty.
