300 ODM Members Defect From ODM to Jubilee in Narok

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has suffered a major blow after 300 party members defected to Jubilee ahead of the August elections.

Led by Narok County youth leader Stephen Meiteiya, the over 300 ODM members declared that they would support the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

The defectors were received by Narok Senator Samuel ole Tunai who dismissed the National Super Alliance (NASA) as selfish individuals making empty promises and exploiting Kenyans without giving priority to development.

The defection came at a time when Jubilee party is holding its National Delegates Convention where the President is set to be endorsed by at least 6 political parties.

This is a major setback to NASA which hopes to scoop majority of votes in the are earmarked as a swing county.

This comes just a day its National Delegates Convention in which party leader Raila Odinga expressed confidence in beating Kenyatta with over 10 Million votes in the upcoming polls.

In the recent past, ODM has lost members from its strongholds to Jubilee led by Karachuonyo Member of Parliament (MP) James Gordon Rege.
