Major Announcement Aden Duale is Expected to Make

The Leader of Majority in the National Assembly and Garissa Township legislator Aden Duale is expected to make a major announcement this week.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Duale revealed that "the documents and list of importers are available at the table office in parliament main building."

In a statement made during the inaugural Garissa High School Alumni Conference last week, Duale promised that he will table the names of those behind the contraband sugar scandal importation.

"Report of people who imported sugar that is not fit for human consumption is with the committee of parliament and their names will be known on Tuesday," Duale stated.

The MP has in the past iterated his resolve to support the ongoing war against corruption which is spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

During a past presentation on the floor of Parliament, a tough-speaking Duale quipped: "If we have agreed to clean Kenya let us clean it completely. Not halfway!"

The government has intensified the war against counterfeit products which are estimated to be costing the country an estimated Ksh200 billion annually.

Duale further revealed the details contained in his list noting: "These sugar barons, whoever they are, regions they come from… will account for their business dealings before parliamentary committees."

The vocal legislator also added his voice to the growing debate on Uhuru's call for lifestyle audit for all government officials.

"We are more than prepared for the lifestyle audit, we must know who owns what, we must clear this country with corruption, we must who are importers of bad sugar, selling drugs and destroying forests.

However, according to Citizen TV, Duale opined that the lifestyle audit should start from 1963 when the country attained independence to date.
