Kenyans Take on Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula Over 'Messy' Comment

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula took to social media to take on trolls adding that he would not allow them to get away with insulting him online.

In his tweet on Wednesday evening, the Ford-Kenya leader warned; "There are persons who think the purpose of social media is to insult and abuse. Pole sana! contain your insanity or else it will become messy!"

Kenyans online did not take the comment lightly as many took the opportunity to call out the legislature on his threats.

Referring to his previous warnings when he was ousted as the Senate minority leader, netizens noted that he divorced he had warned about was neither noisy nor messy.

"Nothing will happen to the abuser! Empty threats similar to those of the NASA divorce. It didn't have casualties neither was it messy," one user snapped back.

Another was in the agreement stating: "You have been talking of things being messy for a whole year, and you have done nothing, I think you have nothing to offer Kenyans."

"Umetutisha na hii "messy" siku mingi na hatujaona anything (You have threatened us for long with your messy comments and we still have nothing," one Kenyan noted.

Following his removal as Senate minority leader earlier in the year, Wetangula warned Raila Odinga that their parting would not be pleasant.

"If anyone wants a divorce it will be noisy, messy and unhelpful, and it will have causalities. I'm not going anywhere. I was not invited to Nasa - I'm a founder," he declared in March.

He termed the move by the ODM leader as 'betrayal of the highest order.'
