Parents Expose Use of Sex Toys in Student's Rape Claim

Parents at Kirigaraga Girls school where a student claimed she was sexually assaulted have accused the teenage girl of using a sex toy, which injured her private parts.

The school’s Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Chairman Daniel Mwenda maintained that investigations into the matter led them to believe the rape allegation was not true.

“We have asked our daughters and they have said that it was a lie and the girl wanted to be transferred from the school," Mwenda told journalists.

"If it was true, our children would have demonstrated against the act but, as you can see, they are still in class,” the PTA chairman added.

The Kirigaraga Girls School student had told the police that she had been waylaid at the school, sexually assaulted, then forced to recant the story by teachers.

“It was on Friday at 2 am when I woke up to go to the toilet. I was kidnapped by several people who had covered their faces. They applied some substance on my nose which made me lose consciousness,” the girl narrated.

She added that when she regained consciousness, she found herself in a different dormitory, naked, with aching breasts and bleeding private parts.

The PTA's version of events comes after Moi Girls High School rape case took a new twist with reports that the victim might have been assaulted by lesbian colleagues.
