2 Reasons Why Uhuru Has Not Confirmed His Support for Ruto - Mutahi Ngunyi

Controversial political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi has come out to explain why President Uhuru Kenyatta has not declared his support for DP William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

Speaking on his weekly show the Fifth Estate, Mutahi indicated that Uhuru was busy focusing on his big four agenda.

“Uhuru has not told us that he will support William Ruto in 2022 and he has not suggested that he will support someone else,” he noted in his analysis.

“In my view, Uhuru is asking William Ruto to give him space so that he can achieve his legacy projects,” he continued.

The political expert explained that the President was not in a place where he could engage in politics and focus on his Big 4 Agenda.

“What Uhuru is asking Ruto without asking him is to give him a break in politics,” he concluded.

In an episodic show titled; ‘Ruto will not BECOME president. He will be MADE president’ he divulged that those imagining that Uhuru won’t support Ruto are deluded and insecure.

“To imagine Uhuru has withdrawn his support from Ruto is a bit unfair, it is a show of insecurity,” Mutahi added.

In the recent past, the President has been asked to state whether he still supports Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

The President has, however, refused to respond to this issue citing that time for politics is over.
