SA President Ramaphosa, Zuma Meet Raila at Mandela Home

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa alongside former Presidents Jacob Zuma and Kgalema Motlanthe met opposition boss Raila Odinga in South Africa on Wednesday.

The leaders were hosted by Nelson Mandela's grandson Chief Zwelivelile Mandela at the anti-apartheid icon's rural home in Mveso in Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Ramaphosa was there to lead centenary celebrations of Mandela who was the country's first black President.

Several activities were undertaken in honor of Mandela and his legacy across South Africa.

Ramaphosa officially opened the Nosekeni Nongaphi Mandela Clinic in Madiba's town of birth Mvezo.

The health center is named after Nosekeni Nongaphi, Nelson Mandela's mother.

He also planted a tree at Mandela's rural home.

Motlanthe handed over 200 blankets to elderly people in Mvezo in honour of Mandela and Albertina Sisulu, a stalwart of the African National Congress (ANC).

Raila had been in South Africa where he attended the 16th Annual Nelson Mandela Lecture delivered by former US President Barack Obama in Sandton, South Africa on Tuesday.

"Madiba will always be in the collective memory of mankind as a powerful role model for all those who are involved in various forms of struggle against oppression as well as seeking to improve the lot of their people and ultimately humanity as a whole," he later tweeted.
