The Orange Democratic Party Movement on Sunday joined Mvita Member of Parliament in mourning the death of his brother, Sayyid Omar.
MP Abdulswamad Shariff on Sunday broke the news about the death of his brother in a statement sent across all his social media platforms.
The late Sayyid Omar’s body was on Monday set for prayers at the Masjid in Konzi before being moved to Sarigoi grounds for burial.

The ODM party on Monday condoled with the Mvita MP and the late Sharrif Nassir for the loss of their kin.
“Pole sana to the family of the Late Sharrif Nassir for the loss of his son Hussein Sayyid Omar. Omar is the brother to our very own Hon. Abdulswamad Sharrif, the MP for Mvita Constituency. We pray for the family during this very trying moment,” the party condoled in a statement.
Before receiving the news on the loss of his brother, the Mvita MP had on Saturday spent time with members of the Mombasa Law Society (MLS) in a tree planting and mentorship day held at Shimo La Tewa School.
