A police imposter was on Wednesday arrested with what authorities believe to be fake job and identification cards of a number of government institutions among them the NIS, ODPP, EACC, KeBS and Immigration.
Moses Muigai Ngugi who claimed to be an agent with the National Intelligence Service was nabbed in his Syokimau home with two firearms and 700 rounds of ammunition.
Attention was drawn to the imposter by Businessman Francis Mburu who alleged that Muigai tried to fleece him of Kshs.10 Million to help him settle the Ruaraka land case.

The two (Mburu and Muigai) recorded statements with Flying Squad officers with Muigai remaining in custody as investigations are being carried out.
During his arrest, Muigai neither denied nor accepted that he was working with the government vaguely admitting that he was somewhat associated with the NIS.

"I'm a friend of the organization of NIS. If they don't know me they will prove that later," he attested.
When questioned on the other jobs cards belonging to KeBS and EACC he stated; "I don't work with them." refusing to comment further.
He was also found with a number of Identification cards including a copy of the ID card of former cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott, of his family and KRA documents.
