Kenya Power Launches 'Power Clinics' in Customer Service Effort

Kenya Power on Tuesday launched a new customer care initiative dubbed "Power Clinics" to help deal with customer queries.

The company announced that the power clinics would be set up for three months inside the company's banking halls countrywide.

"We are creating an opportunity for customer issues to be examined and permanent solutions sought.

"We want to delight our customers through excellent service and this is the beginning of achieving that," explained acting General Manager for Customer Service and Regional Coordination Eng. Aggrey Machasio.

The manager further explained that the clinics will be run by senior customer service staff at the company in a bid to improve the company's relationship with its customers.

Some of the issues that will be resolved by the operatives include meter reading, billing and delayed connections.

Kenya Power will also take the opportunity to educate customers on the harmonized electricity tariff that was initiated to improve the quality of electricity supply.

Eng. Machasio added that feedback gathered from the exercise would be reviewed in October to determine how subsequent clinics will be structured.

He conveyed that building customer satisfaction is one of the Company's medium-term goals that will focus on resolving frequently raised concerns by customers.

The company will also address issues of distribution infrastructure that have hindered the quality of electricity supply.
