Ciru Muriuki Quits K24

Media personality Angela Wanjiru Muriuki popularly known as Ciru Muriuki has quit Mediamax-owned K24 barely a year after she joined the station.

In a social media post seen by Kenyans.co.ke  she stated she was quitting but did not reveal where she is headed.

“I’m about to wrap up my final time co-hosting K24 Alfajiri. I am so honored to have worked on such a great show with such a great team,” the post read in part.

“I’m super excited about the next phase of my career. Dreams do come true.”

Ciru has been hosting the Alfajiri show alongside Jeff Mote and Sera Teshna.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the journalist remarked that she is sad to leave the station.

"You will have details about my next move in a week's time," she stated.

She quit NTV’s the Trend in 2017 together with Mote to join K24.

She resigned from Nation Media Group on November 10 having worked at NTV for 3 years.

They left NTV after Trend’s former host Larry Madowo called time on the popular Friday night show.

Ciru began her career at Homeboyz Radio before moving to Citizen’s Hot 96 FM.

She later joined Nation FM and was inducted into NTV in 2015.
