“The weather conditions in the capital city have also affected operations at Wilson Airport,” official communication from the authority read.

Travellers were asked to contact their airlines for specific flight information and await updates by the authority.

On August 2, Kenya Airways diverted five planes to different airports due to poor visibility caused by fog.

Among them was Moi International Airport in Mombasa.

The fog also is also affecting the visibility of motorists along Jogoo and Mombasa road mostly at night.

In June, the meteorological department instructed Kenyans for adverse weather conditions that would last till August.

The report stated that many regions will have foggy mornings, impoverishing motorists’ visibility.
