Ezekiel Mutua Blasts Alex Mwakideu for Missing Out His Title

Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Mutua was unamused by radio presenters who wrongly introduced him in a Thursday morning interview.

Mutua was appearing for a one-on-one breakfast show at Milele FM when he demanded that the radio presenters introduce him afresh after failing to mention all the titles to his name.

Radio presenter Alex Mwakideu had simply announced to listeners that they were having "Ezekiel Mutua" in the studio for an interview on the upcoming Maisha Magic Viewers Awards on Saturday in Lagos, Nigeria.

"When you have achieved after such a tough journey in life, it is only good that it is respected and used to inspire young people.

"After this interview, I will be addressing all recently appointed ambassadors and their spouses on matters communication before flying to Nigeria," he stated after being reintroduced to the show.

His demand was over the presenters' failure to note that he was awarded the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the country in  December 2010.

Mutua holds a Masters Degree in Communication from the University of Nairobi and has an honorary doctorate award from the Commonwealth University.

In the interview, Mutua gave an account of his academic journey from the days he schooled at now-defunct Popular High School.

He recently learned that the institution, then operated by a philanthropic Indian in Machakos, was closed down several years ago.

He was picked to the school where he studied for two years under the foreigner's sponsorship.

He joined Mwala and Tala High School, thereafter, before moving to train in communication at Moi University.
