KMPDU's Ouma Oluga Addresses Speaker Elachi's Medical Condition

KMPDU Secretary-General Ouma Oluga on Monday addressed Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi's medical condition.

During a morning presser at City Hall, the speaker had alleged that she has a medical condition that only allows her to travel using a first-class flight.

"Even in the Senate, because of that medical condition, it’s not because you want prestige, no, because even business class is prestige already," she stated after the MCAs impeached her over her conduct.

However, when Doctor Oluga was put to task by a netizen on what condition Speaker Elachi could possibly be suffering from, the medic chose to sarcastically address the question.

"Doctors don't and won't disclose patient information (even under threat).

"Just 'hope' for your turn get an absolute 'first class only air travel' prescription," Oluga indicated - a possible refute of the possibility of such a condition.

When the KMPDU Secretary-General failed to give a straight answer, renown economist David Ndii christened the condition as "affluenza corruptitis" - a phrase roughly translates to corruption by the wealthy.

This saw Doctor Oluga retort: "An economy doctor has given us a diagnosis. A medical one is not for public consumption".

The embattled Nairobi County Speaker allegedly flew to the US at the taxpayers' expense to travel to the US for plastic and knee surgery as evidenced by claims from CIC Insurance.

According to Waithaka MCA Antony Kiragu who tabled the impeachment motion, the Speaker spent Ksh1.5 million from the public coffers for the surgery.
