World’s Strongest Man Žydrūnas Savickas Pulls Fire Engine Outside City Hall

World’s strongest man Žydrūnas Savickas on Friday pulled an impressive stunt outside City Hall where he pulled a Nairobi Fire Department engine.

In a clip shared on Governor Mike Sonko's social media, Savickas who has been bagged the title four years in a row is seen strapping himself in before pulling the truck for a couple of metres.

Holding onto a rope for support, the Lithuanian powerlifter and professional strongman moved the vehicle in what seemed like an effortless practice run.

His performance impressed the crowd who had gathered outside City Hall as many sought to take pictures with him.

Sonko stated that they had invited Savickas as a way of promoting local sports.

"He will grace Kenya’s strongest man competition at the Nyayo Stadium handball court tomorrow, where local athletes will be competing for the title," a statement from the county head read.

On his part, Savickas (43) expressed his excitement in being part of the event that would promote all athletes participating in the sport.

"It is important to grow talents with Kenya's strongest man. I'm happy to be here," he stated during a meeting with county leadership at City Hall.

He is considered one of the greatest strongmen of all time and is the only modern competitor to have won every current major strongman competition.
