MP Wants DP William Ruto to Meet Musalia Mudavadi

A member of the National Assembly allied to Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday asked the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi to consider having lunch with Deputy President William Ruto.

This, the Bomet Central MP Ronald Tonui revealed, is in connection with the 2022 general elections in which the two should consider forming a pact.

Tonui was speaking at the funeral service of Emuhaya MP Omboko Milemba’s late mother Elina Anuna who died at the age of 82 years.

Addressing the ANC leader, who was also in attendance, Tonui divulged that the DP’s allies were ready to embrace him and that he respected his status as a Western Leader.

"I belong to Ruto's camp. We love working with everyone. Our leader ate lunch with Raila Odinga. We would love to have lunch with leaders from Western," Stated Tonui.

In a rejoinder, however, Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi shot the request down stating that Mudavadi was only interested in dining with suffering Kenyans.

Agoi explained that he had consulted the ANC leader who agreed to turn the request down.

"As they eat lunch, millions of NASA supporters suffered in poverty. Mudavadi should stay with struggling Kenyans and fight for their welfare," remarked Agoi.

DP Ruto hosted Hon. Raila Odinga alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta for lunch in his Karen home on Friday after they had all attended the late Jane Kiano’s requiem mass.

The publicized meeting came barely a month after Ruto had launched an attacked against Raila claiming he was planning on kicking him out of the ruling Jubilee Party.
