William Ruto Dines at a Shanty Kiosk in Kakamega

Deputy William Ruto on Sunday excited netizens when he decided to enjoy a cup of tea at a local kiosk in Kakamega County.

Ruto had travelled to Kakamega to attend an inter-denominational church service at Malava.

The deputy president later decided to stop at a kiosk after the service and have a cup of tea.

This the second time the politician has stopped at a kiosk during his tour around the country after a previous surprise visit at Maili Tisa junction in Uasin Gishu County where he enjoyed a plate of meal. 

The deputy Head of State is set to visit Migori and Homa Bay Counties on Monday to launch government projects.

The tour that was confirmed by Director of Communication for Migori County Nicholas Anyuor, will see the DP received by Migori Governor Okoth Obado and Suna West MP Peter Masara.

"We are all set to receive the DP for the development tour," remarked Anyuor.

The DP will make a stop over in Karachuonyo Constituency in Homa Bay, where he is set to unveil electrification projects which are part of the Last Mile Connectivity programme by the government.

Ruto will then head to Migori where he will launch the construction of the tarmac road between Masara and Muhuru beach.

He will further hold a public address at Masara trading centre after unveiling the street lighting at the center.
