Propesa Comedians Escape Unhurt After Car Rolls Along Mombasa Road

Members of a Kenyan comedy group, Propesa, were on Monday involved in a road accident at Mlolongo along Mombasa Road.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, a member of the group revealed that a car from the right lane hit theirs hence losing control, rolling and landing into a ditch.

“We were driving on the left lane of the road when another car, trying to overtake, hit ours at the driver's side,” he stated.

The four occupants in the Toyota Allion were headed towards town for personal errands at KICC when the accident occurred.

No one was, however, injured.

The group posted pictures of their overturned car on their Twitter account managed by the comedian popularly known as Larry Matayo.

Team Propesa were involved in an accident. The accident happened along Mombasa Road. We are all fine no one was injured. For the car was badly damaged. We Thank God.” they wrote on Twitter

Police arrived at the scene of the accident towing the cars away to Athi River Police Station where the driver recorded a statement.

The group, who are among the most liked in the country, rose to fame after they won a Range Rover car in a bet against Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri.

The comedians, who have appeared on Churchill Show, were reported to have converted the awarded car into a Public Transport Vehicle.
