Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has noted the one Chinese strategy that is saving Kenya in the race to become a developed nation.
Through his weekly show The 5th Estate, Mutahi noted that the Chinese have perfected the art of speed.
"In 10 years, the Chinese speed has taken us further than the Mzungus (Whites) have in 200 years.
"The Chinese came to town and exposed the Mzungus' lies. They have taught us that speed is superior to stability, " Mutahi stated.
He further elaborated that the Chinese strategy proved that although speed was likely cause economic unrest, it is likely to be more effective that the stability advanced by the Western countries.
In this view, Mutahi opined that it is high time that the country tries out unorthodox approaches that will see the speedy delivery of its economic, political and social goals.
For instance, the political analyst expressed that one such "speedy move" could be the rumored shift from Presidential System to the Parliamentary system through a referendum.
Besides, Mutahi indicated that such a move is likely to change the perennial political chaos associated with the electoral cycle.
Quoting from Gary Hamel's book Leading the Revolution, Mutahi noted that Kenyans should be prepared to look foolish once in awhile since only through these stupid ideas that revolutionary courses are born.
"Instead of asking what system of government we need in a referendum, we should ask where we are going first. If we identify our destination, we can ask what system of government will take us there.
"Out of the every twenty stupid ideas, one changes the world," he concluded endorsing speed over stability.
